Bontril is prescription medication often used to suppress appetite by using amphetamine grade ingredients that stimulate the central nervous system. With Bontril, they claim that you can get better results than diet and exercise alone, and it will help you to effectively speaking get started with a doctor prescribed diet and exercise program.

It is meant only for short term use, and it can be habit forming in some individuals. But does it work?

The Truth

While there are a number of prescriptions with debatable or seemingly non existent weight loss results, Bontril is not one of them. Bontril actually does what it says, and it does suppress appetite, leading to greater weight loss. It uses an active ingredient called Phendimetrazine, which can promote certain results. However, it is not as effective as the vastly more popular Phentermine. This being said, it is no more safe.

Bontril side effects include euphoria, dysphoria, dry mouth, insomnia, hyperactivity, restlessness, unpleasant taste in the mouth, diarrhea, constipation, sexual problems and impotence, dizziness, high blood pressure, hypertention, a rapid heart rate otherwise known as tachycardia, difficulty breathing, chest pain, fatigue, weakness, fainting, ankle swelling, blue lips or skin, aggressiveness, strange behavior, hallucinations, agitation, restlessness, heart palpitations, a desire to take Adipex more frequently or at a higher dose, dependency, unexplained rash, hives, itching, unexplained swelling, wheezing, difficulty swallowing, and difficulty breathing.

We would not recommend bothering with Bontril. It does not have the right ingredients, the right amounts, or anything else to show results. With Bontril, the side effects are really not worth it. There are various other products that work for longer and they are for long term use being much safer. We would definitely recommend using these instead.
