Carb Phaser 1000 Review
For those on a low carb diet, the promise of a carb blocking formula—like that in Carb Phaser 1000—might sound like a great solution. Carb Phaser 1000 is made by BioTech and is meant to help you stick with your diet by blocking some of the carbs you eat.
We can definitely see the benefits of such a formula. Low carb diets are a popular way to lose weight and help people consume less calories while focusing on fruits and vegetables.
However, we also understand that it’s easy to cheat on a diet and go ahead and have some pizza or other carbs.
After our first look at Carb Phaser 1000, we aren’t fully convinced this product is a great weight loss solution. We’ll check further into Carb Phaser 1000 and see if it’s worth adding to your diet or not.
White Kidney Bean Extract has been included in Carb Phaser 1000 to help block alpha-amylase, the digestive enzyme responsible for metabolizing carbohydrates.
This is the enzyme which breaks carbs down and enables them to be absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract. By blocking the effects of this enzyme, you’ll most likely pass some starches through your system without being digested.
Carb Phaser 1000 has also included Gymnema Sylvestre, an herb grown in the tropical forests of India. The University of Michigan Health System has given this herb the nickname of “sugar destroyer.”
One of the reasons this herb is popular in weight loss products is because it’s associated with many health benefits like lowering lipid levels and having antiviral and antiallergenic properties.
This product uses the benefits of Chromium to help you regulate blood sugar levels and, according to researchers at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, create better glucose absorption to help with muscle growth.
Vanadium is another mineral added to Carb Phaser 1000 to help regulate blood glucose levels. Vanadium is thought to increase the uptake of glucose without raising insulin levels so it can help decrease belly fat (at least in mice and rats).
While chromium helps with glucose levels, you only need tiny amounts of this mineral and are most likely getting enough in your diet. The long term effects of supplementing this mineral aren’t known.
Vanadium, another mineral, has only been tested on animals and true effects on humans aren’t known. Vanadium also comes with a few side effects like causing a greenish tongue and gastrointestinal disorders.
While Carb Phaser 1000 may help you block the absorption of carbohydrates, we don’t feel this is a good choice for a dietary supplement. We’d suggest finding a product which includes ingredients actually tested on humans, not just rats. We feel like there are better options available.
